Celine shoes at paris fashion week fall winter 2015/2016

Céline presented fall 2015 collection on International Women’s Day. What a coincidence for the feminist designer in chief of our times!

“I feel like I’m always on guard for women not to be sexualized,” Phoebe Philo said at the backstage. “We’ve created quite a practical world at Céline. I wanted to think more about a kind of tattered glamour this time. Then it’s a question of looking at things and asking: When is that too much, and when is it not enough? Is that womanly or girly?”

As the Designer Who Knows What Women Want, Phoebe Philo showed us how to walk the fine line of the idea of sexuality and sensuality to achieve a tattered glamour. “The idea is it’s all interchangeable,” she said “What I try to do is give women a choice”.

With a new sense of playfulness, the shoes on the runway may look quite like walking on the side of sensuality, featuring square toe and low block heels, ideal silhouette for a base of serious women, but approached in a romantic way with big brooch sprouting on the side and rattan detailing. The contradictory redefined the designers concept of walking on a fine line between the sexuality and sensuality.
