Céline shoes spring summer 2017 at Paris fashion week are about women’s everyday life. Including sneakers, mules, ankle boots and sandals, many varieties were introduced on the runway with models walking around in all directions calmly and purposefully like on a busy street of a cosmopolitan metropolis
The first look was toe-loop thong sandals. Straps across the front and wrap tied around the ankle. Low block heels added extra casual chic. When styled with stockings or socks in contrast color, the transformation into a split toe looked artistic and dramatic.
The mules were grounded with metallic cone heels in golden. Pointy toe and curvy upper lines looked very feminine, adding a graceful prettiness to her woman.
The pull on ankle boots came in an exaggerated bulky shaft projecting a futuristic line yet with a womanly touch of buckled down crystal straps at the front and low block heels.
The show was staged on set with one of Graham’s pavilions, the structure bear similarities to hotel lobbies, airport terminals or the entrance of corporate and public buildings around the world, representing the locations of everyday social life as the soundtrack indicated.
“Social interaction, fantasy and life in general are the main driving forces in my work,” said Philo in notes released after the show. “Dan Graham’s installation is therefore an interesting and powerful way for me to present my collection to the audience.”
The various styling on the same shoe designs including mismatched shoes in different color are very accurate reflection of everyday life. They can be taken as the individual’s interpretation on fashion with their own characters, which is interesting and powerful, sometimes counterintuitive taken the reference of the latest street style snaps during fashion weeks.
