Charlotte Olympia Shoes Spring Summer 2017 at London fashion week is about ’40s-theme glamour, based on Technicolor movies from the ’40s, like Carmen Miranda’s, which the designer always love.
The designer continued with the experimental creative fun collections as seen in her resort 2017 collection, inspired by garden and nature, but moved on to the harvest chapter with fun fruit imitations: mules with green leaf shaped upper, pumps patched with banana and strawberries, Banana peel imitated cross strapped flip-flops.
Leaf and floral motif also featured as a center piece on pointy toe or partial vinyl sandals, printed on the wedge, patched on the chunky heels, delivered a unique presentation with graphic approach and a touch of humor.
On the runway, it all started with elegant catwalk, boosted with a carnival kick and ended with a celebration of fruit costumes walking down the runway, a very colorful and playful presentation infused with happiness.
