Dior Cruise 2017 fashion show took place in Blenheim Palace with the stars like Alexa Chung, Kate Beckinsale, Elizabeth Olsen, Kiernan Shipka, Eva Herzigova and Emma Roberts at the front row. Blenheim Palace was built by the architect Sir John Vanbrugh as a gift to John Churchill, the 1st Duke of Marlborough, in the early 18th century.
Dior has been presenting fashion shows several times in Blenheim Palace throughout history, previously by Monsieur Dior in 1954 and Yves Saint Laurent in 1958. This time, for Cruise 2017 collection, the runway was lined with a fox hunting–themed carpet whose print was echoed on tops and dresses on the runway.
With slightly quirky young daywear collection, the designer presented several shoe designs on the runway, mixed in style, including square toe oxfords, ankle boots with golden block heels and platforms, square toe lace up two tone pumps and lace up bootie sandals. It looks like lace up shoes and square toe shoe trends are here to stay.
