DKNY Shoes Spring 2017 at New York Fashion Week are futuristic themed and sportswear influenced, featuring white flatform sole and sock boots upper. Two tone molded fashion sneaker rubber sole extended to the side of the pump line. DKNY logo is embossed on wide straps across the upper. The sock-like clingy shafts look kind of kinky, hugging the legs like a catsuit.
DKNY has been a street wear pioneer since the date of establishment. For spring 2017 collection, the creative directors Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne took the futurist as inspiration and tried to define the New York style of the future by discovering “new meaning in the codes of DKNY, in which the aspirational meets the practical.” The designers called the futuristic new neighborhood they imagined “Neo SoHo”.
The futuristic new neighborhood of “Neo SoHo” is not about expressing femininity in the old way for sure. The subversive badass confident attitude which comes with these shoes is trying to define new sexy for the future streetwear, which is mixed with athletic and uniformity.
