Elie Saab spring 2015 couture collection is inspired by the designer’s childhood in 60’s, Beirut’s “golden age”, to be more specific, a portrait of his mother in a black silk dress printed with tulips.

“Back then, Beirut seemed to be constantly adorned for a party that would never end.” said the designer. “With every new collection I conceived, the striking image of my mother in this tulip-print silk dress reappeared endlessly”

Saab’s spring 2015 couture collection featured abundant decorative details, including ostrich feathers, watercolor floral, sequined floral embroideries, 3D chiffon tulip petals. To contrast the delicate fairy tale like long dresses and short skirts, the shoes are quite simply designed. The satin sandals feature low block golden metallic heels with double straps across the ankle. The cut out pumps feature an elegant almond-shaped toe, grounded with partially golden two-toned chunky high heels.
