Fendi shoes spring summer 2017 at Milan fashion week are creative, fun and sports influenced. Featuring curved stripped heels or comfortable fashion sneaker outersole, Fendi introduced knitted athletic leisure sock boots on the runway with multi-variations including cut outs, lace up fronts, color contrast stripe, or flower and bow embroidery. The romanticized sportiness in these sock boots is irresistible.
The muse for Fendi spring 2017 collection is Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France, in her carefree country days before revolution. The hint of rococo can be found at the back curve of these sock booties, in a nod to the 18th century fashion era, along with laced up detailing at the front and scattered French garden embroideries.
Karl Lagerfeld referred to the Queen’s “famous apron, but light, almost flying” for much of Fendi spring summer 2017 collection. The dress and skirts are lovely and fluid, young and joyful. When grounded with sports flavored sock booties, the runway was infused with modern updated ethereal romance.
