Givenchy men spring 2017 show took place in the courtyard of Paris’s Lycée Janson de Sailly, staged outdoor to the sounds of Son Lux’s “Your Day Will Come.”
After visiting Naples in Italy for the inspiration of Givenchy resort 2017 collection, Riccardo Tisci carried on with the street fashion styles and amplified it in Givenchy Men Spring 2017 collection with giant zipper pockets, pyramid images, checkerboard motif and green dollar prints.
Money and spiritual happiness are the main themes of Givenchy men 2017 collection. Green dollars are printed everywhere from the giant zipper pockets, jackets, T shirt to shorts. Is it the way saying “money can buy happiness”?
The designer explained that pyramid images are referring to “Spirituality, seeing with your third eye,” while the dollar print is about “Money sometimes makes us forget that.” and the black white checkerboard is the indication of “The game of life.”
Matching the street fashion styles of the clothes line, the shoes on the runway are very sporty, functional and wearable. Two tone molded rubber soles are very athletic. Lace up front are strapped over with a wide elastic band. They are perfect for clubbers, the clientele specifically mentioned in Givenchy resort 2017 collection, who will be dressed head-to-toe in his new designs.
At the end of Givenchy men spring 2017 collection, 13 haute couture looks were presented on the runway featuring the famous models including Mariacarla Boscono, Joan Smalls, Lea T. Natalia Vodianova, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner.
The shoes coming out with couture dresses are fiercely studded with giant rhinestones all over the block heels and some on the upper straps. If the show is about “happy! Images of sunshine!” as designer quoted, these shoes are definitely the “reflection” of it, literally.
