BCBG Max Azria fall/winter 2015-2016 collection is inspired by the designer’s recent trip through Barcelona and the northern Baltic countries. “We were influenced by all of the beautiful artistry that is still being done!” said the designer, Lubov Azria.

The Spanish influence is delivered with patchworked matador inspired jacket, red and blue color-blocked shearling, intricate embroidery and burgundy fringes. Particularly the designer worked the idea of versatility into the statement coat which can be worn inside out.  “The idea of versatility in clothes is very important to me.” the designer said at backstage.

The versatility concept is also carried on with the shoe designs on the runway. Fur-accented ankle boots feature cut out back upper with wide strap around the ankle, a sandal and bootie combined design no matter the temperature. Thigh high leather boots feature stream lined clean upper in camel-tone, providing a contrasting background to pop up the hues of lavender and violet of garment.

The heels of the shoe designs are specially crafty, chromed with leather-wrap tucked in under outersole, creating the illusion of a cut out wedge, another interpretation of versatility.
