Gucci fall 2015 collection is themed as “The Contemporary is Untimely”.   Inspiration from “the romanticism that I feel in the street.”, the designer approached the contemporary world in a more personal storytelling way.

“Contemporary fashion is something that can happen on the street.” said Alessandro Michele, the new creative director at Gucci, who is a fan of how the cool kids dress in fashion capitals like New York and London. “It’s just a relaxed and chic way to dress. The cities tell more than what I can imagine.”

Relaunching the brand with romantic flourishes against a hardened urban background, Alessandro Michele unveiled an array of quirky, young, freewheeling and eye-catching accessories, a complete and confident break from the past.

The clothes with a vintage allure are accessorized with fur-lined clogs and sandals, square toe slingbacks, loafer mules, fur slippers and lace up kitten heel bootie, giving the brand a new expression. “There is no room for consolatory nostalgia,” read the Gucci press notes. “Rather the need to affirm freedom.”
