2014 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 12) in Beverly Hills, Calif. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey hosted the show.
“12 Years a Slave” was a big hit with seven nominations and took home the prize for best drama 2013. “American Hustle.” won three trophies including best musical or comedy, best actress for Amy Adams and best supporting actress for Jennifer Lawrence.
Matthew McConaughey won his first Golden Globe as lead actor in the film of the AIDS drama “Dallas Buyers Club.” Jared Leto awarded for best supporting actor in this film. Cate Blanchett received the best actress in a drama honor for Woody Allen’s “Blue Jasmine.”
Leonardo DiCaprio took home the trophy for best actor in a musical or comedy film for his role as a hedonistic broker in “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
