Lanvin men shoes spring 2017 are very much street wear influenced if not directly inspired by Lucas Ossendrijver’s own shoes as he was wearing on the stage at the end of the show.

“It’s a strange time in fashion, and in the world in general,”said Lucas Ossendrijver at the backstage “I decided to be creative. There’s not much else I can do. My goal has always been to make the clothes look like they belong to him.”

Featuring capped toe molded rubber soles, the shoes on the runway is undoubtedly very comfortable and addressed the generational shift in consumer habits. Individuality is defined with upper prints, colorful shoe laces and patterned socks in contrast colors. A tab of “Error” was stitched on the back of high tops, the letter motif to emphasis on the street styles. The eye catching details of arrows prints and zebra soles added a playful touch to the total shoe designs.

As these days men are working in industries where suit no longer needed, many brands are shifting to casual outfits and so is Lanvin. Only one dress shoe design is presented on the runway featuring lace up front and buckled strap across the front.

Next to the electronics and gears, the newly informed generation of men consumers knows what they want for shoes and clothes, which Lanvin pretty much nailed it with spring 2017 men collections. For a brand usually linked to romanticism, instead of depending on traditional tailored classic basics, Lucas Ossendrijver offered plenty of trendy options of accessories, shoes and separates to stimulate the appetite of new generation of consumers. As the designer quoted, “Creativity” is indeed a fine solution to the quick shifting fashion world of today.
