New York fashion week spring summer 2017 kicks off on Thursday Sep. 8 and runs through Sep. 15. Different from fashion weeks in the past, a growing number of fashion labels are experimenting with a “see-now-buy-now” approach and Tom Ford has been one of them.
Tom Ford presented Fall 2016 collection at recently-shuttered Four Seasons Restaurant on Sep. 7 with star studded front row including Karlie Kloss, Cindy Crawford, Iman, Julianne Moore, Naomi Campbell, Lauren Hutton, Russell Westbrook, Tom Hanks and Jon Hamm.
The show was live-streamed on tomford.com, where all the men’s and women’s collections are available for immediate purchase after the intimate presentation.
“I think that it will probably take the world on fire. And just burn right through. I think it’ll work great, especially now that everybody’s a fashionista. Fashion has never been so fashionable.” said Lauren Hutton, one of the big supporters of see –now-shop-now concept.
Tom Ford fall 2016 collection is luxury on display with pencil-skirt silhouette and tight fit thigh high leather boots featuring strap through bold gunmetal buckles. The curved wedge heels added extra drama to the total Tom Ford’s signature uptown glamor. The boots are already available to buy on his website at tomford.com
