Prada shoes fall winter 2017/2018 are very colorful and decorated. The inspiration of Prada fall winter 2017/2018 collection is Federico Fellini’s movie called “City of Women”. Just from the title, you would know it’s about empowering women, the theme which has been repeatedly hit the runway this season.
For Prada, it’s not about politics but about everyday fashion. “I don’t want to be political. Not officially political. When people ask that, I say no; in my work, I am not in the right position,” Miuccia Prada told Vogue.
A poster on set subtly explained further“Fashion is about the everyday and the everyday is the political stage of our freedoms. We have decided to look at the role women have had in the shaping of modern society.”
Feminism, femininity and seduction are well explored in Prada’s runway shoes. There are delicate embroidered satin pumps, powerful tough strapped thigh high leather boots, cozy furry casual boots and flat loafers, black feather fringed sandals. All delivered in bright color palette of blue, pink, aqua and red, mixed with golden tone ornaments to enhance the luxurious and glamorous.
Forget about giant square buckles, Prada switched to giant buttons this time for the bold fashion statement. To take it a step further, the shoes are grounded with silver or golden tone metallic 3D heels sparkled with rhinestones.
Prada addressed seduction in the way of balancing empowering, intelligence and attractiveness. She considered the collection was more about the instruments of seduction. By using ultra feminine satin for the upper, adding feathers, curved chunky heels and thin straps, the sandals are well defined the smart seduction.
“Continuous Interior, Prada 2017,” another poster on set read “We have decided to look at the role women had in the shaping of modern society, their political participation and social achievements.”
