The show was staged in the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild with star studded front row including Jessica Alba, Diane Kruger, Dakota Fanning, Miles Teller, Shailene Woodley, Mika, Valentino Garavani himself and used to be fellow designer, Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The first look was flat lace up sandals made of shimmering velvet, simply designed with cross ropes at front looped through ankle straps, which tied causally around the ankle for a bohemian chic.

Valentino spring 2017 collection was inspired by fifteenth-century art. Pierpaolo Piccioli collaborated with Zandra Rhodes and reworked the artwork of Netherlandish painter, Hieronymus Bosch, The Garden of Earthly Delights, into the collection.“I wanted to feel free to use all of these in my own very personal way, to connect to even things I’m not connected to, to Zandra and the Renaissance” as explained by the designer.
