By definition, Haute Couture is a process of creating exclusive custom-fitted clothing with extreme attention to details. On the runway of Pairs Haute Couture fashion week, the talented couture designers get a chance to present their most dreamy, creative and inventive clothes to the world. Counting as accessories, the shoes are usually under designed in comparison with couture clothes. That is until we see the runway shoes of Iris Van Herpen Couture fall 2017.
The front strap cut out uppers seems familiar. It’s the jaw dropping sculptural back side and the heels that took your breath away. Made of thin metal strips, the futuristic metallic cage alike heels and back uppers are stunning. The cutting edge 3D two cages were merged onto a metal plate in the middle, which were fixed to the midsole with screws. It’s literally the most head turning heels at Paris couture fashion week.
Marked as 10th anniversary of the label, the Dutch designer used avant-garde techniques on the gowns and dresses of fall 2017 couture collection themed as water and air. It’s a spectacular treat of sensational vision interest on the runway, including water surface like laser cut 3D wave pattern and floral metal lace which look like water bubble from distance. The fun and playful touch on the hair style of the models made it look just like jelly fish.
