Futuristic theme has been storming the runway for several seasons now and there are no signs of slowing down. From metallic silver dresses, see through clear PVC handbags to Lucite boots, fashion designers can’t get enough of the inspirations from the future. Whether it’s new textures of high tech fabric or patterns that lead to space ships, the science fiction themes were embraced by many high fashion designers and Balmain fall 2018 collection is the latest on the list.
Balmain shoes fall 2018
The year 2050 is where the story started as imagined by the designer. The models walked down the runway in shiny silver foil dresses, holographic PVC skirts or black vinyl tops etc. The shimmering outfit was grounded with some interestingly designed shoes, which are not only outer space edgy but also fit the iconic Balmain design aesthetic of modernized simplicity.
The clear PVC ankle boots were designed with rounded upper, featuring studded black patent edge to match the pointy toe box. To make the boots more wearable, a PVC ankle strap was cleverly embedded inside the boots. Lucite chunky heels were decorated with a silver sphere to further enhance the futuristic vibe.
Other than the sphere decorated Lucite chunky heels, the chain inspired heels of Balmain shoes fall 2018 are even more jaw-dropping. Even though sculptural heels are nothing new on the runways, but with feather fringed leather upper and studs, these boots are made to impress.
According to Vogue, Balmain fall 2018 collection is about challenging the designer with new materials and it’s obviously completed successfully. The crinkled texture on the thigh high boots was manipulated in the way which is vision interesting, elegant and functional. The embossed vertical lines on the chunky heels further elaborated the crinkles with more details.
