Chanel Shoes At Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2015/2016

Chanel fashion shows always leave something interesting for the media to talk about, whether it’s a supermarket show, haute couture sneakers, 300 mechanical flowers or fake feminist protests.

Chanel fall winter 2015/2016 collection is a love letter to France, “a vision of France from a stranger who thinks France is not that bad.” said Karl Lagerfeld  “More French you cannot get. It’s a French collection, because I’m against French-bashing.”

The show was presented at Brasserie Gabrielle, as playfully named by Karl Lagerfeld. The Grand Palais, which was set up as a supermarket once, was transformed into a French bistro and café with leather-covered booths and waiters serving espresso, orange juice, a bit of champagne and food to the fashion show’s guests.

All the clothes on the runway (or shall we say at the French coffee shop) were completed with one shoe design, which is the classic two-tone cap toe sling back pumps designed by Coco Chanel herself in 50’s, featuring comfortable low chunky heels, curved side straps creating cut out effect. The iconic shoe style is timeless and elegant, easy to wear for any ladylike wardrobe.

“I never used this shoe,” said Karl, “and now it’s the only shoe. I’m tired of platforms, of stilettos.” Ladies, mid chunky heels are officially endorsed by Karl Lagerfeld to be put to your shopping list for coming season. Shop chunky heels at Chiko Shoes
