With reference to two 20th-century icons of creativity, Syrie Maugham and Alberto Giacometti, Chanel Haute Couture spring 2017 collection is about glamorous glittering embellishment and feathers crafted in Chanel’s signature chic impeccable and clean silhouette.

The shoes on the runway reflected 80’s vintage heel shape with pointy toe. In glossy silver tone, the pumps were shinning in enhanced elegant timeless chic style. Models walked down the runway with no excessive accessories around their neck or elsewhere, but just a piece of anklet around the left ankle, made of pearl, the brand’s favorite embellishment.

“I wanted something impeccable, clean. I wanted the girls to look like walking fashion drawings,” said Karl Lagerfeld “And I must say, I love feathers!”

In the same 80’s vintage heels and pointy toe as pumps, the boots on the runway are sparkled with encrusted crystals and rhinestones. Sew-on gems are glittering on the fine suede shaft like tiny pieces of mirrors, in the same theme of the mirrored runway, which was inspired by Syrie Maugham’s white interiors and famous slim-paned mirrored screen. White and silver feathers were pinned down by the sew-on gems, adding extra retro glamour and sophistication.
