Gucci Shoes Fall Winter 2016 - 2017

Gucci shoes fall winter 2016 – 2017 were inspired by multi-layered mix and match of styles as for the cloth. The seasonal muse is a time-traveling Catherine de Medici, mixed with street style, 70s sport, Renaissance biker, 80s Italian and French couture.

The creative director, Alessandro Michele, described it as “Some of my passions and a little injection of some chic points of the Eighties. I love to mix and match into a different language. Talking in more than one language—there are a lot of ‘sounds.’ It’s like going on Google, or Instagram, where you can find communities. I am obsessed with street style.”

Gucci shoes made a remarkable fashion statement last fall with the fur-lined leather loafer slippers. Gucci shoes on the runway of  fall winter 2016 – 2017 continue to be fanciful, fun and abundant, with cross-references of 70s lamé disco sandals, ultra high platform wedges, studded Renaissance biker loafers and zebra imitated Mary-Jane pumps, as if pulled from so many eras simultaneously.
