Louis Vuitton Shoes fall winter 2017/2018 at Paris fashion week are sportswear influenced, edgy and practical. Nicolas Ghesquière presented his fall collection in Louvre, the world’s largest museum and a historic monument in Paris, to deliver a message of blurring boundaries.
“Today, when some people make us want to believe that the frontiers are stronger and stronger,” said Ghesquière “I think fashion has always broken those frontiers. Especially in Paris—it’s the land of foreign designers; it’s so multicultural. Being in the Louvre where everyone is welcome, where there is no limit of culture, of nationality, is a strong message.”
As show noted stated, Louis Vuitton collection fall winter 2017/2018 “aims to do away with frontiers altogether and shift into the evocation of the nomadic, where the city blends with different landscapes…”
Featuring square toe and block heels, Louis Vuitton boots on the runway were designed with leather upper and stretchy fabric for the shaft for comfort and ease. Athleisure-inspired white stripes were placed on the side with small tabs sticking out at the top.
Then there were boots in pops of colors to divert your eyes away from the blank canvas of Chelsea boots, while keeping the foundation crisp and classic. Or, strip it down to the basic material contrast with black piped lines for a smart brilliant natural look.
