Louis Vuitton combat boots from fall winter 2016 collection made a big hit, at least for the front row celebrities including Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss, Lea Seydoux, Alicia Vikander, Michelle Williams, Catherine Deneuve, Jennifer Connelly, Roger Federer. Nearly every guest were wearing a pair.
Louis Vuitton shoes spring summer 2017 at Paris fashion week are about Parisian chic as the show was inspired by inspired by the French women who populate this city.
Featuring pointy toe and chunky heels, the pull on boots on the runway was designed with two tones in mixed colors or materials. Curvy tailored upper on the back was decorated with a tab look like a flower paddle stitching out and patched with Louis Vuitton classic monogram coated canvas carrying the brand’s initials.
In the same pointy toe and chunky heel silhouette, the pumps were designed with black straps crossed at the front, stitched down on the toe box and buckled on the inner side. Back of the pumps were also tabbed with the brand’s initials.
Two toned design on the shoes may come from the designer’s definition of right bank and left bank at Paris. “It was a question of territory: Right Bank vs. Left Bank, each has its own particularities and creative sensibilities.” as explained by the designer.
The show was staged at the creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s favored new flagship store at 2 Place Vendôme, which will be open in 2017. Nicolas Ghesquière found the inspiration in the 80’s movie “Rive Droite, Rive Gauche,” for his Parisienne style collection. “The women are so strong, so sophisticated. I was really curious to try to explore that.” said Nicolas Ghesquière.
