From embellishments, embroidery, plaid to fringe, Christopher Kane played with all the trends of fall and recreated them on the runway shoes of spring 2018 collection in the way no one can compete.
The designer continued the controversial collaboration with Croc and presented a couture version of the plastic sandals worn by kids, dog walkers or gardeners. The makeover was done with glamorous gem stones on the mesh upper. The ugly-pretty result is quite impressive, evolutionary and joyful.
Plaid is another major theme for Christopher Kane’s shoes on the runway of spring 2018. Featuring pointy toe and kitten heels, the pumps were crafted with tweed in plaid pattern. It’s a fun mix of femininity, quiet seduction and a girlish whimsy. The crystal band across upper enhanced the design with luxury and sophistication.
As for the fringe detailing, Christopher Kane played high and low on different designs. For the evening dresses, the black patent cut out bootie was adorned with crystal strips dangling down from top of shaft and sparkling in the lights. For the less polished version, the designer used rope fringe around the uppers of the pointy toe pumps for a refreshing touch of bohemian sentiment. The fringe detailing added both femininity and fashion statement drama to Christopher Kane’s spring 2018 shoe designs. It’s no surprise that the fringe trend has been going on for several seasons and still no sign to stop soon.
